We have provided a document for you to reference as needed. It explains what Vox Church believes about baptism. We appreciate you and are praying for you as you lead!
1. What was something powerful or meaningful that stood out to you from Baptism Sunday?
2. When you go down under the water, it symbolizes dying to self. When you come up out of the water, it symbolizes being raised to new life in Christ. If you have been baptized, talk about the impact baptism had on your life and how it paved the way to your new life in Christ.
3. In Acts 8:36, the Ethiopian Eunuch said to Phillip, “Look, there is water. What prevents me from being baptized?” What reasons do you think prevent people from being baptized?
4. Explain in your words, how you believe baptism represents: Belonging - Identity - Power
Take some time and pray together for the believers who were baptized on Sunday to continue walking in obedience to God, to be more and more like Jesus, and be led by the Holy Spirit every day. If you have someone in your group who was baptized on Sunday, celebrate! Take a few minutes and pray the same prayer over them. as well
