Text: Ephesians 1:3-14
As you were growing up what type of groups, people or clubs made you feel like you belong? Currently, what are some of the places and people where you most feel like you belong?
What truths from the sermon about the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, were new or surprising you? Talk about what God revealed to you about his nature through the sermon.
The natural order is to believe the world revolves around us. We prioritize achievements or accomplishments over loving relationships. What changes do you need to make to prioritize relationship with God and others this week? Be specific – talk about your daily routines, choices, appetites and affections. What needs to be re-prioritized?
Break into groups of 2 or 3. Bring all your answers to question # 3 to God. Receive the strength and grace to lay down the old ways of living. Ask the Holy Spirit to pour new hope, life and courage into your heart. Receive faith for change.
As a community group, talk about how you can make your group an even better place where everyone knows “you belong here”. Should you plan a fun gathering or set up a prayer text thread or something else different? Brainstorm and come up with a few ideas. Make a plan!
