What concept or principle from this week’s sermon did you find particularly helpful, insightful or difficult to grasp?
Racism is one form of prejudice; think about our culture in New England and identify other forms of prejudice. A neighbor who doesn’t have a job; someone you meet who doesn’t have an education, etc. How can we use the truth of the gospel to open the prejudice in our heart?
It took Jonah 3 days to turn to God? Why is it turning to God is often our last resort rather than our first response?
There are many positive and God-honoring aspects of cultural pride that we find in tradition and belonging. What does it look like for Christians to embrace a Christ-centered identity while not ignoring our cultural and racial heritage?
