Bridges of Hope Mentoring Program is accepting applications for the 2023-24 school year. Our vision is to provide a safe place for students from low-income families to receive academic help and grow emotionally and spiritually alongside a caring adult. Volunteers should be over 18 and willing to commit one night a week to spending time with a 2nd-8th grader. Locations are on the east side of New Haven, in the Mill River and Quinnipiac Meadows neighborhoods. We meet from 5-7 pm. Duties will include homework help, short devotions, and small group recreation. Volunteers will also be responsible to communicate regularly with their mentee's parents and teachers.
