Local Outreach

Middletown

Bringing hope and help to our cities.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything and can transform people, families, neighborhoods, and communities. By connecting with local organizations and intentionally loving our neighbors, we desire to mobilize our church towards meeting some of the greatest needs in our community and sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

Focus Areas

Focusing our efforts to see greater impact in our city.

Homelessness

Learn More

In Middletown, the current poverty rate is 12% of it’s population. Many in our city experience extreme poverty which includes lack of shelter and a warm place to stay. We want to support organizations helping get people off the streets and into housing.

Initiatives:

·Hosting drives as a campus to collect items for local shelters

·Supporting organizations that house, feed, and supply resources

Women & Children

Learn More

We are called as followers of Jesus to care for the orphan, the unborn, and those in need. We want to support women and children in our community who are in need of additional support.

Initiatives:

·Supporting ABC Women’s Shelter and women found in emergency pregnancies

·Raising up foster families in our community

      ·Building partnership with local schools

Mental Health

Learn More

In 2020, the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse reported serving 1,787 residents in the community with services. This statistic is just the people who reached out for help and is not reflective of those who often suffer in silence. As the church, we want to support services to those who are struggling in our city.

Initiatives:

      ·Supporting staff at CVH

·Developing support groups at our campus

·Aiding efforts to fight the opioid epidemic in Middletown
