The Bible is unique in its telling of one unified story across 66 distinct books written over the span of thousands of years: the story of God. The more we understand who God is and what he’s doing - through the revealed Scriptures he’s given us - the more we’re able to find our place in his grand story. This course is designed to be part 1 of 2 in exposing students to that grand story of the redemption of God beginning with the Old Testament. Over the course of 10 weeks, this course will survey the content and movement of the Old Testament as it plays a significant role in unfolding the character and redemptive promises of God that ultimately find their fulfillment in Jesus Christ alone. (Story of Scripture 2 will explore the impact and implications of the fulfilled promises of God in Christ as offered in the New Testament.)
