Text: Acts 12:1-11

1. Because of technology, our world is moving faster and faster. What “slow” things frustrate you the most? (Example: when a person doesn't go when the light turns green)

2. Mike mentioned two types of crowd's (below). Towards which crowd do you lean? Why?
  • The "I have the power" crowd, who believes they can fix anything/everything on their own.
  • The "There is no power" crowd, who has no hope that anything can ever be fixed.
3. The church prayed earnestly for Peter the way Jesus prayed in the garden (Luke 22:44). Describe what the word "earnestly" means to you. What is God calling you to pray earnestly for?

4. The church prayed persistently for Peter. What’s the most persistent prayer you have prayed and are still waiting on God to answer?

5. The church prayed together for Peter. Prayer is powerful when you pray with others. What is a prayer that you need others to pray earnestly and persistently with you?

Pray for the answers to #5 TOGETHER - RIGHT NOW!

For further study: Look up and read Hebrews 4:14-16 and discuss why we have access to the Father and why we should approach Him with confidence. What would change if we prayed with humble confidence?
