Local Outreach

Greater Stamford

Bringing hope and help to our cities.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything and can transform people, families, neighborhoods, and communities. By connecting with local organizations and intentionally loving our neighbors, we desire to mobilize our church towards meeting some of the greatest needs in our community and sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

Focus Areas

Focusing our efforts to see greater impact in our city.

Affordable Housing

Learn More

Due to lack of affordable housing in the County, many are driven out of housing and into homelessness. The average income required to afford a 1 bedroom apartment in Norwalk is $74,200, and 31% of residents make less than $50,000 per year.

Initiatives:

·Resourcing organizations with essential supplies, clothes, and items for basic needs

·Volunteering with shelters and organizations apart of the solution

Food Insecurity

Learn More

Every year, food collaboratives across the region work together to meet the needs of food insecure residents from Stamford through Norwalk. When adding the impact of all these organizations combined, they are serving over 100,000 residents in the region. We want to be a part of the efforts and the solution.

Initiatives:

      ·Supporting food rescue initiatives

·Resourcing various food pantries in the region

Families

Learn More

In comparison to other local towns in Fairfield County, Stamford and Norwalk fall lower in ranking when looking at safety, education, and family resourcing. Our church wants to generate events and support organizations that create opportunities for families in our region to thrive.

Initiatives:

      ·Supporting local public schools

·Hosting family-friendly events for the city

·Partnering with organizations investing in the next generation
