Local Outreach

Worcester

Bringing hope and help to our cities.

We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything and can transform people, families, neighborhoods, and communities. By connecting with local organizations and intentionally loving our neighbors, we desire to mobilize our church towards meeting some of the greatest needs in our community and sharing the hope we have in Jesus.

Focus Areas

Focusing our efforts to see greater impact in our city.

Education

Learn More

According to state testing, only 32% of students are proficient in math and 38% in reading. We want to support students and families in this region by partnering with organizations that help students grow in their love for learning and set them up to thrive.

Initiatives:

·Build partnership with Worcester Public Schools

·Host outreaches at college campuses in the city

·Meet basic needs of students and families in our city

Homelessness

Learn More

The Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance has found that Worcester’s homeless population has increased by 43% from 2020 to 2021. Due to the rise in housing costs, many Worcester renters are also left cost-burdened, which has prevented many from finding affordable housing. We want to support efforts in our city to help people out of poverty.

Initiatives:

·Building partnerships with organizations housing, feeding, and equipping the homeless

·Mobilizing our church to serve through local partners

Immigration and Refugee Services

Learn More

Worcester is known for being a home for those from different ethnic backgrounds. As our city welcomes people from different backgrounds, we want to also intentionally love and welcome our neighbors while partnering with organizations to help meet needs that arise.

Initiatives:

·Supporting organizations who house, employ and equip diverse populations in Worcester

·Intentionally building a community that represents the diversity of our city
