Text: Mark 10: 35-45
1. If a book was written about you, what would the title be?
2. What would the world be like if no one had a sense of self-importance (ego)? What would change today in your life?
3. The disciples were hoping that Jesus would overthrow Rome and establish an earthly kingdom. Instead, Jesus said you must be a Slave of All. How do you react to that counterintuitive response?
4. Talk about someone in your life who was a true Slave of All. What is the proof?
Break up into groups of 2 or 3 and answer this question honestly. If you looked back at your week, what would be said about your greatness? Would it be defined as serving self or serving others?
Come back together as a group and read Isaiah 53:4-5. Take some time to praise Jesus for His sacrifice for you and pray for a new spirit of servanthood among the members of your group.
