Text: Isaiah 61:1-4
- In what ways have you seen the digital world affect humanity? (Could be positive or negative)
- Justin said that if we aren't careful our lives will become like a generator, always running to produce. Talk about a time in your life when you felt like you were out of gas (drained and disconnected). What caused it? Who or what helped you fill up again?
- God made us and wants us to see and think (contemplate deeply) about others the way He does. Who is someone in your life that God is laying on your heart to see and think about more deeply? Why?
- Look up Psalm 42:1 and Psalm 27:4. What would need to change in your life for your desire to match the Psalmist's words?
- Read Isaiah 61:1-4 and pick a promise of Jesus that has played an important role in your life. Explain why.
Take some time together and pray for each group member to develop a deeper desire to see and contemplate the beauty around you - specifically in others and in your relationship with the Messiah in Isaiah 61. If you feel led, pray for your answer to #3 that the Holy Spirit would help you fulfill a promise in Isaiah 61:1-4 through the power given to you because of Jesus.
