Jesus Was Dedicated
Hey parents! In this week's lesson, we dove into the significance of consecrating the firstborn and how it points to Jesus. God commanded the Israelites to set apart their firstborn as a reminder of how He delivered them from Egypt. Mary and Joseph followed this tradition, bringing Jesus to the temple and offering a sacrifice. Although Jesus was sinless, this act showed His obedience and identification with us. At the temple, Simeon and Anna recognized Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah. This reminds us that we, too, can trust in Jesus and His finished work for our salvation.
